Setzer Youth Education

Building Jewish Connections for the Next Generation

Setzer Youth Education (SYE) provides informal educational and social opportunities for children from kindergarten through high school graduation. Our programs empower our youth through community building, leadership, and joyful Jewish living.

Grades 3 – 5

Chalutzim

Chalutzim is Setzer Youth Education’s 3rd–5th grade program, where our youth build friendships, explore Judaism, and engage in community events at the Jacksonville Jewish Center.

Grades 6 – 8

Kadima

Kadima is the international youth organization for middle school students. We provide a fun, safe environment where kids can build Jewish friendships through social, religious, and community service programs.

Grades 9 – 12

USY

United Synagogue Youth (USY) inspires Jewish teens to explore their identity and leadership potential through regional conventions, summer trips, and local chapter events that create memories for a lifetime.

Grades 8 – 11

JTLI

JTLI (Jewish Teen Learning Initiative) is Setzer Youth Education’s 8th–11th grade program, designed to empower teens to explore their Jewish identity, develop leadership skills, and engage with meaningful Jewish topics.

Our Philosophy

Whether it’s your child’s first event or they are looking to take on a regional leadership role, we are here to support their journey. Our programs complement the classroom experience with hands-on social justice and social fellowship.
