The Hesed Community connects JJC members through acts of loving kindness.
On a consistent basis, our hope is to expand through education and community events that reach a wide array of community members and unite us in this mitzvah of outreach to those in need. As such, Hesed is not a traditional committee at the Center. We aim to reach out to the entire congregation.
On three things the world stands: on the Torah, on prayer and on acts of loving kindness.
Providing comfort for those homebound due to grief or illness.
Preparing and delivering meals, making calls, and sending cards to congregants in need.
Visiting those who may be lonely or in the hospital to ensure no one is alone.
