Rabbi Dr Bradley Shavit Artson holds the Abner and Roslyn Goldstine Dean’s Chair of the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies and is Vice President of American Jewish University in Los Angeles. He is also the Founding Dean of the Zacharias Frankel College in Potsdam, Germany, which ordains Conservative rabbis for Europe. Having earned an undergraduate degree from Harvard University cum laude, he was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, where he also received his master’s. In addition, he holds a Doctor of Hebrew Letters degree from Hebrew Union College in Contemporary Jewish Theology. Long a passionate advocate for social justice, human dignity, diversity and inclusion, Rabbi Artson is the author of 12 volumes and over 250 articles, including books such as The Bedside Torah: Wisdom, Visions, and Dreams; It’s a Mitzvah! Step-by-Step to Jewish Living; and most recently, Renewing the Process of Creation: A Jewish Integration of Science and Spirit. He is married to Elana Shavit Artson, and they are the parents of twins, Shira and Jacob.
